Alyssa Frey, MPA Healthcare & Policy Administration earned her degree at the University of New Mexico. Presently, Alyssa is the Sr. Benefits Administrator & Communication Analyst and Manager of the Human Resources Information Center (HRIC) at Duke University’s Human Resources Benefits Department. The majority of her career has been in the field of clinical research with a concentration in healthcare policy & administration, quality assurance, staff training and early preventative education for patients to facilitate higher quality outcomes.

Alyssa has nearly 15 years at Duke University and spent an additional 15 years in the private sector focusing on Indian Health issues in conjunction with the Navajo Nation. She participated in opening the first out-patient Adult Bone Marrow Transplant Program in the world at Duke in 1992. While employed at DaVita Kidney Care, Alyssa assisted in implementing federal legislative changes focused on improving dialysis policy that had not been modified in more than 30 years. At Duke’s Clinical Research Institute (DCRI) she worked closely with Nation Institute of Health (NIH) in the Environmental influences on Child Health Outcomes (ECHO) Program in order to gain a more in-depth knowledge of early environmental influences on child health and development.
